MILLBROOK POTTERY is made in Beckenham, Kent by Peter Curtis.

He started his working life as a dancer with Rambert dance company, with whom he danced for 11 years and began making pottery after leaving the company. His pottery is influenced by his dance background as well as his love of plants and flowers. Colour is also an important feature in his designs. Each piece of pottery is individually thrown, turned and decorated by hand and therefore no two pieces are identical.

He began making pottery in Devon in 1978. At one point Millbrook Pottery was sold to approximately 350 shops worldwide (requiring a team of 7 potters) and has been exported to many countries. In addition it has been sold at Bonham’s contemporary ceramics auctions.

Peter still dances with the Royal Opera Company at the Opera House Covent Garden despite being in his 77th year!
