  Nichola
Hanman

Having attended evening classes on and off for over 20 years, Nichola got seriously bitten by the pottery bug once she managed to take control of her school's kiln. Her life will be complete once she is able to take control of her own pottery.

Her day job involves far too many targets, deadlines and crises and she finds that pottery is an excellent way to escape these and enjoy being creative.

Nichola mainly uses hand building techniques. She is currently fairly obsessed with Raku and is at present exploring the possible effects using resist slip. Her inspiration comes from many sources but has been greatly influenced by the precision of potters such as Ashraf Hanna and also the African themes of Annie Peaker and Tony Foard.
