I began my ceramics career at Wolverhampton University, before working for various potters to further develop my skills. I then undertook a year at the Leach Pottery in St Ives, which was Adopt a Potter funded. I continued to work at the Leach before moving to Kent in 2016 to set up my own studio.

Having trained at the Leach Pottery, I enjoy the process of production throwing. I create two different ranges of work, a functional standard ware range and a more decorative, one-off range.

Within my decorative range I like to throw pieces which I then use as a blank canvas to carve with geometric patterns and natural forms. The glazes I use highlight the detail of my carving and emphasise the forms.

My work is all made from white stoneware and fired to 1260 degrees. I make my work in my studio at Nucleus Arts Centre in Chatham, Kent.
