Andrea Farndon trained in 3D design [specialising in ceramics] at Middlesex Poly, graduating in 1987. She had the privilege to be trained under the guidance of first rate potters such as Mo Jupp and Emanuel Cooper and continues to use both stoneware and Raku glazes she acquired from these masters. She completed a PGCE teaching qualification at Sussex University in 1994 and has taught across a wide age range ever since.

Andrea creates hand built vessels and sculptural forms which are mainly designed for the outdoor environment. An enduring theme in her work is texture and layers and her work is often inspired by natural forms.

Working from her spacious studio on Seal Chart, Andrea produces her own work and runs classes for adults and children [after-school clubs and holiday workshops].
