It is well known that everybody should have a passion. For me this is pottery.
When I am working with clay, the daily humdrum thoughts and worries disappear and I can fully concentrate on the clay. My favourite is making animals in paperclay. Periodically I practice my throwing skills, making domestic ware. I also welcome any challenging commissions.
However, due to our business commitments, there are never enough hours to follow my passion. This results in my limited amount of work becoming personal gifts or sold through the occasional Kent Potters Association exhibition.
Nelly has contributed her stoneware raw base glaze to the glaze database
