I first started making pots at an Adult Education Class over 25 years ago. Then in 1990 I did my diploma in ceramics at Wandsworth College, I was hooked. I set up my own studio and started making functional pottery. I use both earthenware and stoneware clays throwing them on a continental momentum wheel. A lot of my decoration and forms are inspired by my drawings of birds. I also make tiles and tile reliefs and have been involved in many workshops making tile murals with children and adults. I am part of a local art group called SEAS (South East ArtistS). We organise exhibitions, Open Studios and a regular Saturday art and craft fair in Deal where I market my work. I moved to Walmer, Kent in 2004 and living by the sea is slowly beginning to influence my work.
