I have recently started working at home in my 'shed in the garden', such a joy.
I first learnt pottery at Canterbury Adult Studies and was lucky to have Alex Adam as a tutor. In 1994, with Alex's support and advice, I set up the Dairy Pottery with Julie Smith and we had 10 great years working together. Julie and I attended both John Solly's and Phil Rogers' courses, the 'Wheel Conference' in the Forest of Dean, Aberystwyth and various Master Days trying to learn as much as we could.
My joy is in making simple functional pots using stoneware, reduction fired in a gas kiln to 1280°C. The Copper red glaze is given in the glaze database.
