Eva Blume
I completed the City & Guilds in Ceramics and Design part II (Advanced)
in 1995 and work now with the theme 'houses', trying to explore houses
in towns, cities and countryside in clay. I throw the forms in earthenware
or work with slabs or press moulds to which I add the design by a mixture
of techniques from carving, incising, piercing to sprigging. I use
coloured slips, various glazes and oxide washes for the final firing.
I am a member of Kent Potters and of the Kent Potters Gallery in
Maidstone. I sell my work through the gallery and at Craft Fairs.
Some of my work (agate) is included in Jane Waller's book –
Colour in Clay.
